Many Will Now Meet Me on Their ‘Damascus’ Road
Liz Wright
In Acts 26:9-18 we see the apostle Paul sharing his powerful testimony as he addresses King Agrippa:
“I used to think that I should do all that was in my power to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And that’s exactly what I did in Jerusalem, for I not only imprisoned many of the holy Believers by the authority of the chief priests, I also cast my vote against them, sentencing them to death. I punished them often in every Jewish meeting hall and attempted to force them to blaspheme. I boiled with rage against them, hunting them down in distant foreign cities to persecute them.
“For that purpose I went to Damascus, with the authority granted to me by the chief priests. While traveling on the road at noon, Your Highness, I saw a light brighter than the sun flashing from Heaven all around me and those who were with me. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice speaking to me in Aramaic, saying, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? You are only hurting yourself when you resist your calling.’
“I asked, ‘Who are You, Lord?’
“And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. Get up and stand to your feet, for I have appeared to you to reveal your destiny and to commission you as My assistant. You will be a witness to what you have seen and to the things I will reveal whenever I appear to you. I will rescue you from the persecution of your own people and from the hostility of the other nations that I will send you to. And you will open their eyes to their true condition, so that they may turn from darkness to the Light and from the power of satan to the power of God. By placing their faith in Me they will receive the total forgiveness of sins and be made holy, taking hold of the inheritance that I give to My children!” (TPT)
A Harvest of Pauls
As Jesus drew my attention to this Scripture, He spoke to me and said, “Paul’s blood cries out. Many will now meet Me on their Damascus Road.”
At the end of Paul’s extraordinary life, history records for us that he was martyred in Rome. Heaven is calling in divine recompense for the murder of Paul. It’s time! Many leaders across the world are about to be interrupted on their journey to enact laws to persecute Christians, to damage humanity, and they’re about to be met by Jesus. There is going to be a harvest of Pauls. Jesus is calling us to pray and to call forth each one.
They will come from across the nations, from a myriad of expressions of life; some hidden from view, some very visible; all deceived. The Lord is bringing them out from the gross deception that has held them! Many will come forth as global evangelists. They will be rough diamonds, they will look messy as their characters are being purified, but they will love Jesus with a holy passion in response to His great love and mercy. They will walk in awe of God as messengers of power, yielded, sold out, and uncompromising in their faith. They will walk like Paul and they are coming home, now!
Jesus showed me how many have been destroyed through horrific abuse, subjected to incomprehensible suffering. He is calling us to forgive them, to overrule the enemy’s grip on their lives. He then said to me, “Satan has had his day. This is part of Heaven’s great mercy and divine strategy that is unleashing now, to turn the nations from darkness into light.”
We are on such holy ground, as together we respond to Jesus’ invitation to pray and call forth the seed of Paul. This is Paul’s harvest! He is ready to pass his baton and his cloak to many. He’s there, ready to release them as Jesus visits each one.
The Bride’s Agreement!
Jesus, we come together in agreement with Your heart, with the desire of Heaven, with the desire of Paul, and we call forth Paul’s harvest in the earth now. We thank You for the mandate that You first gave to Paul when You spoke to him on the Damascus Road. We thank You, Jesus, that each one of these men and women that You are placing Your hand on are now going to see the great light of Your presence, and they, too, will be witnesses to everyone they see as you visit them.
Thank You, Jesus, that each one will be visited by their own Ananias, prepared sovereignly by You; that they will have the courage to lay hands on them, to see the scales from their eyes drop, and to confirm the truth of all they experience.
We thank You that as they speak as Your mouthpiece across the nations, there will be shock waves of revival as those previously under their influence see and hear the truth of their testimony! Protect them from the persecution as satan rages against them, Jesus.
We come in agreement! Where Paul’s blood has cried out for each one predestined for this moment, let it be on Earth, Jesus, as has been decided. The nations are Your inheritance. We agree with Your mercy and Your great love, Your strategy and Your timing. We thank You for the Damascus Road experiences activating now! We thank You for the celebrations in Heaven, as You receive the reward of Your suffering, Jesus, and for Heaven’s justice activating over the life of Paul!
